Following a day of torrential rain on Wednesday, the course at Robin Hood GC was in extremely good condition for our match on Thursday. The wet course combined with very fast greens made the golf course particularly challenging. Unfortunately for the home team, many of the Derbyshire players adjusted to the conditions more quickly resulting in a 5 games to 3 win for the visitors.
All matches were played in good spirit and there was some excellent golf played by members of both teams. Thankfully the players remained dry for the duration of their matches.
The post-match meal was delicious and greatly appreciated. Our thanks go to Robin Hood Golf Course for their warm welcome and hospitality.
