Walmley Golf Club was the host for this match which was our first 1st team match of the season against Leicestershire 1st team. The course was very wet following several days of very heavy showers which added to the challenge although thankfully the day remained dry. Yet again all of the matches were closely contested with 6 matches being decided within the closing 3 holes.
The final score was a well-earned 6 games to 2 win for the Warwickshire Vets team, an excellent result when considering the conditions.
The post-match meal was greatly appreciated and especially welcome as the day had been uncharacteristically chilly for the time of year. Our thanks go to Walmley GC for their hospitality
