On a beautiful sunny day, with a near cloudless sky we found ourselves at Erewash Valley Golf Club for our match against Derbyshire. This tree lined course was in excellent condition although some of us found it a little hilly, but nonetheless very enjoyable to play.
The Derbyshire team was very competitive and we soon realised that we would have to play our socks off if we were to bring in a team win. In the format of Better Ball off scratch, our Team's handicaps were just too high to manage that illustrious win. The exception was Sheelagh Murray and Christina Kennedy who came in winning 3 and 2 with Sue Shortt and Val Barker losing out on the last hole, 1 down. The final result was Derbyshire 6 to Warwickshire 1
