Warwickshire Golf

Second match of the week, this time at Cosby Golf Club with the opposition being Leicester & Rutland Vets 2nd Team.  The weather was just fantastic and all sweaters were discarded!  Cosby GC was in great condition and offered some interesting holes and the meal served after golf was really good and well received.

The match was played in better ball format with shots (3/4)and there were wins for the pairings of Liz Woolf & Hilary Bramley, Gill Winstanley & newcomer Wendy Ingram, Val Barker and Pat Hawthorn with a halved match by Rosemary Cole & Barbara Jones.  Regrettably we just lost the overall match by 4 1/2 to 3 1/2, but the lost matches were very close.
