Warwickshire Golf

On Sunday 28th April 2013, the annual match between the Warwickshire Girls and the Warwickshire Vets was played at Leamington & County GC.  Commecing at 1.30 p.m. six teams played in 4 Ball Better Ball format, with shots.  Weather thankfully was dry throughout although a terrific wind was blowing all afternoon, seemingly changing direction as we did!!  Matches in the main were closely fought and it was great to see the more mature golfers battling away with the youngsters with the Vets just winning by 3 1/2 to 2 1/2.  Everyone agreed that we had an enjoyable afternoon, especially coming in to celebrate Carol's Birthday with some excellent cake!!
