First match of the season for Warwickshire Vets is traditionally played against Warwickshire County 2nd Team, and this year was played on Monday 8th April at Ingon Manor G & CC. Weather was cold and very windy, continuing this run of poor weather for early season matches, however we all had a good day's golf followed by a late Lunch.
Skye Furnace, 2nd Team Captain had selected a very good team and the format of Better Ball, with shots proved to be an interesting format. Matches were quite tight at first, but then the talented 2nd Team showed their class, coming in with wins in all matches - some only just!! Congratulations to the 2nd Team and we Vets look forward to improving with our following matches!!
