A Warwickshire Girls Team have played their first match of the season at Rugby GC against a strong Warwickshire Ladies Vets team.
The girls were proudly wearing their new caps for this competition which have been bought thanks to sponsorship money from Lyle & Scott.
We are very grateful to Lyle & Scott for this support and they themselves are proud to support the WLCGA Girls. With their 'eagle' logo are 'eagerly' looking forward to watching these future stars of our game succeed in 2022 and beyond.
Eight girls played in this highly contested match and every game went at least to the 16th hole with the final result being a draw.
The girls really enjoyed the challenging course and all the Vets praised their play and etiquette.
The team is pictured together with Rahela Gordon, the Warwickshire Junior Organiser.
Anne Wardle, Vets' Captain commented that she hoped the same girls will be playing next year and that their Handicaps will have dropped!!
