MATCH REPORT WVLGA V WARWICKSHIRE 2NDS 21^ST APRIL 2022 AT SHIRLEY GOLF CLUB

What a lovely day to have a game of golf! Shirley Golf Club is a wonderful venue. The course was set out beautifully and the food was scrumptious.

We were honoured with our President Val Barker seeing us off the first, and visits throughout the round from both Val and Warwickshire President Bobby Waugh.

We had 8 teams playing 4bbb with shots, it was a confusing day as everyone was wearing yellow tops and navy trousers, and on top of that several ladies that are Vets were playing for the other team!

A great day was had by all. Two ladies were awarded with their colours, Maggie Taylor and Jackie Atkin. We had a new participant for the Vets, Sarah Thorley who played alongside myself.

It was a win for WVLGA 5/3

A fabulous day was had by all at Shirley. Both teams enjoyed the event that had been organised by the Vets. We enjoyed a lovely lunch afterwards and were joined by our President and County Captain.
