Match Report Warks V Staffs l Tri County Trophy Scratch Match
Monday 23rd August at Harborne Golf Club
We always knew this would be a difficult fixture, as Staffs have so many low handicappers, and they did indeed bring out the big guns! One player is an ex-pro, with a HI of + 0.5.
Unsurprisingly the result was a win to staffs 6.5 / 1.5
I must thank everyone for playing, and trying so hard, on a very hot sunny day on a tricky course.
Congratulations to Judith Pegler & Angela Dawson on their Half, and especially to Liz Moverley & Sue Jones who managed our only win of the day.
Staffordshire l had previously beaten Worcestershire & Herefordshire l and thus they retained the Tri-County Trophy.
