Warwickshire Golf

 

As usual it was a wonderful day, maybe not weather wise but this match is always good start to the

season for both sides. 7 Pairs from each Team played on a well presented Course, and after a magnificent bacon

sandwich, the first match started at 11.15am. Anne Parry (President) kindly started all the matches

with Liz Woolf (Vets President) and Gill Thorpe (Vets Captain) also present on the tee.

 

It was an exciting day for the 2nd Team who were playing 5 up and coming juniors, 4 making their first

appearance for the 2nd Team. It is great to see so many talented young girls coming up through the

ranks so watch for these girls - Megan Gee, Grace Wilkinson, Katie Drew, Zara Houghton and Jessica

Maghee.

 

The result was a friendly draw. A very exciting match for the third group out  -  the Vets (Angela

Dawson and Julie Ritchie) were dormy 3 but a great fight back by the 2nd Team pairing of  Helen Dellow and

Katie Drew to finish with a half after a superb birdie for Katie Drew on the 18th.  Well done Katie,

who was making her first appearance for the 2nd Team.
