The Pre-Season match against Staffordshire was played at North Warwickshire Golf Club.
A bright and sunny day for our second match of the season. The course was in excellent condition and had benefited from the few days of sunshine. Our President Caroline Lasson kindly saw everyone off the first tee and joined us for lunch.
The Foursomes matches were made up of Kathryn Day and Sarah Boden, Rahela Gordon and Lauren Beaman and finally Veronique Linton and Toni Shirley. A good strong start with a 3-1 win. Well done Lauren, Rahela, Veronique and Toni.
The singles matches proved a little more difficult. Kathryn Day led the field and lost 3n2. She was playing a very strong player who has played first team and in County Match week for Staffordshire. A strong start for Kathryn on her first 36 hole match for the 2nd Team.
Lauren Beaman followed with our only win of the afternoon 2 n 1.
Rahela, Veronique Linton, Sarah Boden and Hilary Dixon followed.
It was a good warm up for the County Champs.
