Warwickshire Ladies 2nd Team v Warwickshire Lady Vets - Sunday 15th April
Sunday 15th April brought the first match of the season again the Vets at the Warwickshire. A nearly dry day on a still very wet Kings Course it was a great start to the season with a 3-2 victory.
Kelly Tomlinson paired with a new player to squad Emily Spies was first out and had a very close match against Claire Howells (making her debut appearance for the Vets) and Cathy Wise but unfortunately lost on the last hole.
Carol O’Hare and another new player Jenny Arnold played a great match again Pat Hale and Debbie Reynolds to win comfortably 3 and 2.
Veronique Linton and Rahela Gordon were third out and the last match in. A good job they didn’t know that we were all depending on their result. A great win for them at 4 and 2 and to give Warwickshire Ladies 2nd team the overall win.
Helen Dellow and Jane Murphy lost their match and the last match out was Annabel Edmond (2nd Team Captain) and Sarah Boden who had a comfortable win 5 and 4.
A great match played in excellent spirit and always a great day. Well played all.
