WVLGA Match v Worcester and Hereford 2 Team at Copt Heath GC
June 19th – the hottest day of the year and the date of our match at Copt Heath GC against the Worcester and Hereford 2nd Team. With lots of sunscreen applied and extra bottles of water to drink – we teed off. The course was in excellent condition and the trees offered us some shade from time to time. With matches concluded, no one had the energy to complete the extra holes. The cool showers were very much appreciated on our return to the clubhouse. Lots of iced drinks and a delicious meal rounded off our day. Debbie Forbes, Angela Horton and Jane Groves played their first match for the Vets.
Our Warwickshire team in all the heat, managed to return a victory score.
