WVLGA v Leicestershire & Rutland 2nd Team at Glen Gorse GC, Leicester
Our sat nav’s initially proved to be problematic in taking us to the exact location of Glen Gorse G C. However after various circuits of a roundabout, we did all eventually arrive at Glen Gorse and were warmly welcomed by the Leicestershire and Rutland 2 Team.
The stunning flower beds by the 1st Tee, illustrated what care the members of Glen Gorse place on the overall maintenance of their course.
The course is five miles from the Leicester city centre with open views of rolling Leicestershire countryside. The course is set in undulating and mature wooded parkland with strategically placed bunkers and water hazards.
For the majority of our matches, the Warwickshire ladies were giving shots. However this did not daunt our players. Some matches were closer than others, but everyone enjoyed the course and the company of our opposition. Our Warwickshire ladies returned our first win of the season !
