WVLGA Match v Leicestershire & Rutland 1 at The Leicestershire G C on May 22nd 2017
A beautiful setting for our golf match against Leicester 1st Team. The Leicestershire Golf Course is a green oasis close to the city centre. The weather was dry, sunny and warm which was a very pleasant change from the wet cool conditions of last week. The course was in excellent condition with some challenging pin positions. The greens were also faster than we have recently been used to. The Warwickshire ladies all had good games but unfortunately were not able to beat the tough opposition. However our loss was compensated by an excellent meal following our match !
Annie Taylor, Maggie Smith and Bev Coleman played their first match for the Vets and we look forward to them playing in future matches.
