Match v Warwickshire Senior Men on Thursday 29th September
2016 was a Home match for the ladies which was played at Harborne on a bright, sunny and breezy day. Having secured 3 extra shots (sss difference) this was still not enough to win back the Carl Bretherton Trophy which has been in the men’s possession since 2007. However, all the matches lost were close with some excellent golf played, with only the partnership of Marie Swindells and Tina Bates winning their encounter, which was by 4 and 3.
The golf was followed by a delicious supper and judging by the lively conversation the whole day was much enjoyed by all players.
