TERMS OF THE COMPETITION:
1. Qualifications
Open to female golfers who are Full Members of a County Association within the Midlands South Region (Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire & Herefordshire), who have Amateur Status in accordance with the current R&A Rules Limited and who hold a WHS Handicap Index. Pairings are not necessarily from the same club.
2. Regulations
a) Entries are to be made online at www.warwickshiregolf.com by the closing date using the player’s WHS number. Entry fee to be paid via PAYPAL system. Credit and Debit Cards accepted under PayPal. Any difficulties with entering and paying online should be referred to the WLCGA Website Manager at ladies.competitions@warwickshiregolf.com.
b) Entries shall be limited to 40 pairs. If the event is oversubscribed then preference will be given to the lowest handicapped combined pairs. Unsuccessful entrants will have their entry fees refunded.
c) Entry fees will not be refunded after the closing date but substitutions will be allowed at the discretion of the Organising Committee.
d) A draw for playing partners will be made after the closing date.
e) Players under 18 years must submit a completed Parental Consent Form prior to the competition. Please request a form if required.
f) In the event of adverse weather conditions, the organisers reserve the right to alter the format of the Competition in order to achieve a result. This may include rearranging/altering start times. In all matters the decision of the Organising Committee is final.
g) England Golf Equity and Equal Opportunity, Gender, Transportation (use of buggies) and Anti-Doping policies apply to all competitors in this competition. Compliance is the responsibility of the competitor. These policies can be found on the England Golf website: www.englandgolf.org.
h) GDPR/Photographs – As part of organising and running this event your name, club, WHS number, handicap and contact details are held on a database by County officials. The details will not be used in any way other than the administration of the competition. As part of this your name, scores and event photographs will be made available to England Golf, County websites and your Home club for the purpose of administrating handicaps and event reporting.
3. Format & Conditions
a) The competition shall consist of 18 hole Medal play Better Ball from the Red Tees.
b) The individual handicap index shall not exceed 29.5 on the date of entry. 85% of course handicap to be applied.
c) The competition shall be played in accordance with the current Rules of Golf Limited and the Local Rules of the Club.
4. Trophies and Prize Vouchers
a) Trophies and prize vouchers awarded for best 18 hole gross and net scores. Prize vouchers awarded to the runners-up in both categories.
b) No couple shall receive more than one prize
c) All ties shall be decided on count back on 18, 9, 6, 3 or 1 hole.
d) In the event that a couple returns the best gross score and the best net score the gross score takes precedence.
