Warwickshire Young Masters 9 Hole Stableford Rules

The Warwickshire Young Masters Tournament will be played on Saturday, 8th September 2018 at Marston Lakes Golf Club, Lea Marston Golf Centre, Haunch Lane, Lea Marston, Sutton Coldfield B76 0BY

Closing Date for Entry Applications is Wednesday, 29th August 2018

2018 CONDITIONS OF ENTRY AND PLAY

Entry Qualifications:
To be eligible to enter these competitions, a player must:
1. be under the age of 12 years at 00:00 on 1st January 2018
2. be a member of a Warwickshire Golf Club or attending regular planned coaching sessions with a PGA professional in Warwickshire.
Conditions of Play:
1. Players with CONGU Competition handicaps (maximum 54 for boys and girls) will play a 9 hole Stableford competition over the Marston Lakes golf course.
2. Players without handicaps will play a Stableford competition over the Marston Lakes Par 3 golf course. Each player will receive a stroke allowance of three strokes per hole.
3. Ties will be decided on a count back basis taking into account the Stableford points scored for the last 6, 3 and 1 holes.
4. Putting competitions will be held for both groups of players – gross scores to be returned.
5. The use of ride-on buggies is generally prohibited in Warwickshire County events. Players should walk at all times unless permission to ride has been given by the Committee. Permission will only be given in exceptional circumstances.
6. Mobile telephones are not permitted to be used on the course, except in case of emergencies.
7. Caddies are not allowed and parents/guardians are not permitted to be in contact with the players on the golf course.
Prizes:
1. The overall winner of each Stableford competition will receive a trophy and a voucher.
2. Vouchers will also be awarded to the leading players in the 9 hole competition and the Par 3 competition. The quantity and breakdown of vouchers will be determined by the number of participants.
3. A voucher will be awarded to the winner of each putting competition.
4. Competitors are expected to be present at the prize giving.
Entry Applications:
1. Applications and Payments may be made online via the County website OR by post to the Organiser.
2. Postal entries will only be accepted on the official Entry Form available on the County website.
3. Entry Applications – both postal and online – and related Fees must be received by the Organiser NOT LATER THAN the specified closing date for entries.
4. No entry fees will be refunded unless intimation of scratching is received PRIOR to the Draw being issued.
5. It is a strict condition of entry that a Parental Consent Form is completed as set out below NOT LATER THAN the specified closing date for entries:

Rules of Golf Applicable
The competitions will be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by R&A Rules Ltd and as supplemented by Local Rules.
Note: The use of Distance Measuring Devices which conform with the current Rules of Golf are allowed.
Resolution of Issues:
Any questions arising as to Entry Qualifications, Rules of Golf, Resolution of Exceptional Ties or any other points will be considered by the Committee whose decision will be final. The Committee reserve the right to limit the number of entries.

DATA PROTECTION ACT
Please note the information supplied will be kept in strictest confidence on a database and only be used by Committee members of the County for the purposes of organizing competitions, coaching, matches and other activities for the Junior Section [including results published in the press] and will not be disclosed to any third party.
