Along with Judith Pegler (Lady Captain) we made the decision that we would have a mixed fourball competition, the draw for the pairings was made over coffee in the lounge before the first tee-off time of 11.00 am.
Coventry Hearsall GC has been in great condition all year but due to the torrential rain on Monday the 2nd playing conditions were heavy. The greenkeeper had kindly put the pins on the high points of the greens, the greens, despite the rain were in excellent condition and good to putt on.
Once we had consumed our Beef Bourguignon and lemon tart we completed a swift prize presentation.
The winners on the day: Judith Pegler and Roger Neale with a score of 42 points.
