FULL HOUSE for VET'S AM AM
Shirley Golf Club was the venue for the 2022 Vet's AM AM on Thursday 18th August and what a popular venue it turned out to be with 168 players in 42 Teams taking part. The sun was shining for most of the day and the fairways had greened up a little after the recent rain and with lush but fairly speedy greens we were expecting some high scores from the Stableford AM AM format - we were not disappointed. It was obvious from comments made by the players upon return to the Clubhouse that the majority had enjoyed their round even though there was great disparity in the scoring.
Vet's President, Val Barker at the end of play, thanked Rosemary Cole, Competition Secretary and the Vet's Committee for their efforts on the day as it had been a long one for them. She also thanked Shirley Lady Captain Di Wood for her assistance and the Volunteer Starters that she had arranged for the day. Caterer and Bar Staff did a great job in keeping us fed and watered and they were thanked too. As there were some of the Prize winning teams in the lounge at the end together with many of the later players a Prize Presentation took place, which was encouraging.

3rd Prize - Karen TOWELL, Jeanette WILLETS, Joanne BOYES, Gill BALL (Walmley GC) - 83 points on countback
