WLCGA Summer Meeting on 25th July 2022
A magnificent number of ladies took part in the Summer Meeting at Ladbrook Park Golf Club this year. 80 ladies played the better ball stroke play competition with 85% of their course handicap.
The weather improved during the day and later sunshine showed off Ladbrook Park at its best. For many of the ladies, this was their first visit to Ladbrook Park and their first Warwickshire Event. I don’t think it will be their last. There were many positive comments on the day and since.
Many thanks to Chris Athersuch, the Ladbrook Park Lady Captain, for all her support in the run up to this event and thanks to the ladies and gentlemen who helped with the ball sweep, menu choices and acting as Starters. The ball sweep raised an amazing £130 for the development of junior girls’ golf within the county.
Thanks, too, to all the Ladbrook Park staff whose help made for a successful competition, with a special mention to Carl who helped erect the Warwickshire sails!! And take them down!
On the day, there were some fantastic scores. Well done to all the ladies who took part and very well played to the winners.
