WLCGA SUMMER MEETING 2017

Some forty four pairs competed in the 2017 Summer Meeting, a Better Ball Stroke play round with 90% handicap allowance, which this year was held at Harborne GC. The weather stayed fine all day, in fact just right for golf and the course at Harborne was in excellent condition with super fast greens, which some players found testing, especially downhill putts.

Competition was fierce with some excellent scores being recorded for both Gross and Nett prizes and the winners are listed below:

The SUMMER SALVERS - awarded to the pairing with a combined 40+ Handicap - Diana WOOD and Phillipa PICKAVANCE (Edgbaston GC) with a score of 70 Nett

The SUMMER MEETING TROPHIES - awarded to the pairing with the best Nett scores  -  Rosa HANCOCK and Judith HINTON (Harborne GC) with a magnificent score of 64 Nett.  Who said that local knowledge is not a good thing?!! - Pictured Right with County President Caroline LASSEN

Runners Up - Michelle POULSON and Jo WARING (Leamington & County GC)  also with an excellent score of 67 Nett - Pictured Centre with County President Caroline LASSEN

The HARTILL JUBILEE GOBLETS - awarded to the pairing with the best Gross score - Lisa BARTON (Coventry GC) and Rachel RUSTED (Nuneaton GC) again with an excellent score of 75 Gross -  This is the forth time in a row that these two have won this Prize - well done to them - pictured Left with County President Caroline LASSEN
