RUGBY TEAM WIN VETS FINAL EVENT OF 2016

The final Lady Vets event of the year was the Autumn 3 Ball Alliance held at Kenilworth Golf Club on 19^th October and we were treated to a lovely sunny, if a bit cool, October day. The course was in very good condition despite 3 temporary greens and several temporary Tees, due to maintenance work that was in progress. There was a full field of 117 ladies for this Stableford Team event, which was as many as could be squeezed into the day without the final team playing the last hole by the light of a torch!!

Three ladies only managed to score 2’s. They were Sue JONES (Rugby GC), Jane COLMAN (Ladbrook GC) and Ruth HALTER (Shirley GC) receiving £37.00 each

Lesley CHESLIN, Lady Captain of Kenilworth GC gave a very belated welcome to the ladies remaining for the Prize Presentation and hoped that everyone had enjoyed their experience at Kenilworth.  She apologised for the several Tees and Greens being temporary, explaining that work had to be done at this time of year.

Lady President, Jane BETTS presented Lesley with a plant and then thanked Kenilworth Golf Club for hosting this event and particularly Rob Griffiths, Manager who had helped with much of the arrangements both prior to and during the day.
