This was the last match of the season, which I had the pleasure of hosting at my home club. The weather was ideal and the course in lovely condition. This fixture as always was enjoyed by both teams and played in a very friendly manner but with a competitive edge. The six pairings worked well together with some very close matches and excellent golf was played by both teams. Our Vets team managed to win one match and halve two matches but the other three games went to the Senior Men, with birdies galore in some of the games!
Our post-match meal was much appreciated and enjoyed by both teams. My thanks go to my team for putting up a good fight, to the Seniors’ Captain and his team for providing the challenge and to Ladbrook Park Committee and members for their hospitality and providing us with the opportunity to play their course.
