Warwickshire Golf

This was the first of our matches in the quest for the Tri Counties Trophy 2014.  The venue of Coventry GC was ideal for our match which we knew would be particularly challenging as Staffordshire had already beaten Worcestershire earlier in the year.  Despite a rather daunting local weather forecast, the early matches were played in bright and sunny conditions although the players in the later matches had to battle the elements as well as the opposition due to the heavy and thundery rain.  Unfortunately, the Warwickshire team were only able to secure 3 ½ games resulting in a second win for Staffordshire.

Following a delicious post-match meal, the Tri Counties Trophy was handed over to the Staffordshire Captain, for safe keeping until next year!
