What a wonderful day to play golf with wall to wall sunshine! Today's match was against Gloucestershire with the venue being Copt Heath Golf Club. The course was in fantastic condition, albeit the greens were very speedy but very true and the hospitality within the clubhouse was just great, with a delicious meal served to us after golf.
A really good day for Warwickshire who won 5 1/2 matches to 2 1/2, with excellent wins for Sue Shortt & Val Orton, Liz Moverley & Del Lakin-Hall, Val Barker & Jane Jones (Edg), Jane Colman & Carol O'Hare, Susie Adams & Wendy McIntyre and with a half from Cath Hoare & Issy Bartram - well done ladies.
A special 'thank you' must go to Carol O'Hare who stood in at the very last minute (11 a.m. today) and managed to win her match, having only had 3 hours sleep!! Congratulations also go to Cath Hoare, who was awarded her Warwickshire colours.
