This was the first of the ‘Tri Counties Trophy’ matches and was played at The Warwickshire Golf and County Club. The weather was fine, with some sun, and the course was in wonderful condition.
There were wins for Liz MOVERLEY & Mave MENDUS, Angela DAWSON & Gill THORPE and Anne PARRY & Di McCORMICK. Two matches were halved - Jan WALSH & Sue WESTALL and Marilyn FIELDING & Carol O'HARE.
The result was a DRAW 4 – 4.
The second match in the series between WORCESTERSHIRE on Friday 14 September must now be won if we are to take the trophy.
