TRI COUNTY MATCH – Warwickshire Vets 2nd v Staffordshire Vets 2nd
On 4th August 2022 at DRUIDS HEATH GOLF CLUB, Aldridge
What a beautiful sunny day it was for our Tri County match v Staffordshire.
After a difficult evening prior to the match finding last minute team members, we were all set for a great match on a challenging course. Mandy and Chris from Staffordshire and I waited in the sunshine for our players to come through on the 10th tee, with many of them saying that they’d been in every bunker and the run on the ball was incredible!
One of our ladies had trouble with her trolley, so had to dash to the pro shop for a hire one.
Pat Johnson from Walmley was playing in her first match and was our only winner alongside Marjorie Scott from Maxstoke Park GC
Karen Towell also from Walmley received her colours for playing in her 4th match.
We were all well fed and watered by the Druids Heath Team.
Unfortunately, WVLGA lost 7 to 1 but a good win for Staffordshire and new friends made.
The final result of the 2nd Team Tri County Matches for 2022 was that Hereford and Worcestershire were the outright winners with 1 Win and 1 Draw (3 points). Congratulations to them
