Warwickshire v Worcestershire & Herefordshire l Tri County Scratch Match
The team were very much looking forward to the match as Blackwell is such a lovely course, and many hadn't played it for a while. The course was in fabulous condition, but unfortunately so were the Worcs Scratch team, who seemed to be firing on all cylinders.
In a few of the matches Worcs only lost a few shots to gross par. Two of our pairings managed to halve their matches Gillian Curley & Jane Frith, and Judith Pegler & Claire Howells. The other 6 matches were all won by Worcs l.
My Vice Captain Anne Wardle kindly took over from me as I was unable to stop for the meal, and she presented colours to Dawn Hooper.
As Staffordshire have won both of the tri County Scratch matches, they won and therefore retained the Glass Trophy in 2021.
